Does anyone know of any wind power being generated in your neighborhoods? When I was going to school in Spain I thought it was awesome that new turbines were being installed in towns where the old windmills were still working. But back here in the states they are taking longer to catch on.

I live in Toronto, and I can see the wind turbine by the lakeshore through my solarium window.
Also there must be about two dozen or so on the west side of Highway 10 north of the city and south of Owen Sound.

Yeah we have a couple of wind power mills in our town. They are actually a couple every couple of exits off the highway.

Not in my neighborhood, but I've been reading more about it.
I try to support businesses that use wind power, like Aveda.

I have heard that some neighborhoods are down on wind power because the windmills are unsightly

We have several turbines located in the state I live in (North Dakota), but none of them are really that close to my house. The power company we have, gets about 10% of their power from wind, but is working on expanding that soon. By 2015, they are hoping that at least 50% of their power will come from wind turbines.
