I heard GE won the wind powering turbine contract so I Would assume that here in a minute we are going to have more Wind power mills. Thats a good thing. I have noticed alot of change when it comes to trying to strengthen our world.

Awesome!
I will be watching for news of new turbines going up. So far it has been pretty much private entities that have invested in wind power, so this is a big step.

Do you see a lot of wind turbines near your home? There's only one in the city that I know of, but north of here there are about a dozen or so.

Not so many here around Chicago that I see. When I was living in Texas though I saw quite a few smaller ones meant for home use.

I envy you because I don't see many wind turbines in a year.I just love them.Especially when there are hundreds of them, each 60 feet high. It's truly majestic and beautiful.I can't hope for turbines in my area because it's near the mountains. One can only dream on such a view near home.

I've seen the ones in California that are on the tops of the mountains and filling the valleys. And they go on for miles. It's certainly not a sight I would want to see from my home. I always mused that they outlawed billboards out there but then allow such an obtrusive blot on the landscape, but maybe that's just me. I would honestly rather see smog across the landscape than these. At least you can tell there is a landscape with the smog....
