PEI's Ark 9 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 1
I don't think it was very famous, but I was able to visit Prince Edward Island's Ark, which was an experimental building with green solutions:

Has anyone here heard of it?

Where exactly is Prince Edward Island? Is this a well traveled area of the world?

Prince Edward Island is the Canadian maritime province near New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and fairly close to the US state of Maine.

Heard of it (of course, I live in Canada!)

But never seen it, must be a spectacular sight to see Canada actually attempting this while here in Alberta we are producing tons of pollution through the oil mining

I saw it a long time ago, but I think it's no longer there.

I guess it was experimental and hopefully they learned how to do things efficiently from it.

By the way, Prince Edward Island is another beautiful place to visit, as well as Alberta.

I think Alberta would disappoint you to some extent whether it be through the perspective of green energy or environmental beauty.

I guess the major holdback is our booming oil industry simply translates into an excess of oil pumpers that can be randomly seen in a lot of places, detracting from the already boring, flat landscape of prairie land.

In terms of energy, we still have a long ways to go compared to Toronto in utilizing more solar/wind/alternative energy sources .
