Safeway 10 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0
Safeway, the grocery supermarket has switched its entire truck fleet of over 1000 trucks all to B20 biodiesel produced using soybeans.

They have also annouced that they will convert 24 California to solar energy, the equivalent of taking 1000 cars off the road every year!

Way to go Safeway

That's great news. Kudos to Safeway.

Are they the trucks with the green logo? I think I've seen those in my area, too.

I think they are the ones with the red S logo and have the green leaves on them.

Anyhow, I am sure they will put some sort display showing off their b20 trucks

I think I may be confusing this company with a home grocery delivery service called Gateway, rather than Safeway.

Anyway, it's positive news.

Yes I think you are, and it may be due to the fact that there might not be a Safeway close to where you live (since they don't do delivery anyways, at least not here).

but yea, I agree its good news, although I would be curious as to when they will actually have ALL the cars switch

Thats what I like to hear. Things seem to be changing for the better when it comes to our environment.
