A new UltraBattery has been produced and tested and great results have been achieved for hybrid electric vehicles, able to power the hybrid to the 100 000 miles mark. From the source, it is 50% more efficient and 70% less in price.

Wow,this means that hybrids will be a lot cheaper in the following years,if this will be reliable.This could be vary well the way to the future.

This sounds encouraging, although I don't have previous specifications to compare it to.
I wonder how often this new battery would need to be recharged?

Yes I would be happy to be able to see one of these although I doubt they will come into mainstream market until at least 2010 due to all sorts of legal paper work and other patents.
