I found that - even though the cost of installing the solar panels was high - the difference in my power bills is enormous. The savings are really noticeable.

I can definitely recommend this option

I have a friend in California that put up solar panels and now he doesen't pay any electric bills. Actually PG&E pays him yearly, because he is able to sale back power to them. It was an awesome investment for him.

One of my friends has solar panels installed on his house. He loves it, because the power company pays him, instead of him having to pay them. He has a fairly small house, and doesn't use that much electricity anyway. He estimates that the solar panels will have paid for themselves in 4-6 years.
