U.S. DOE Selects Verdant Power Under Advanced Water Power Projects Solicitation
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced Verdant Power as one of the 14 projects selected under its competitive solicitation for Advanced Water Power Projects. Verdant Power will design, analyze, develop for manufacture, fabricate and thoroughly test an improved turbine blade design structure to allow for larger, higher-power and more cost-effective tidal power turbines.  More

RITE Turbines Retrofitted with Next-Generation Rotors, Delivering Energy from NYC’s East River
Verdant Power has retrofitted two of its tidal turbines with 5th-Generation rotors and successfully re-installed the units in the East River. The two grid-connected 35kWe turbines are now delivering clean renewable energy from the tides of the East River to a Gristedes supermarket and the RIOC Motorgate parking structure on Roosevelt Island in New York City. More
